Egan Sign, a national sign management and corporate rebranding company, today announced the appointment of John Dever to become its new president. Dever comes to Egan Sign from a 16-year term as president and COO of Bills Khakis, an upscale men’s fashion brand located in Reading, PA. At Bills Khakis, Dever was responsible for leading a team of 30 employees and overseeing the company’s operations and financial management, as well as developing and executing marketing strategies.
Dever is a seasoned leader and manager, experienced in both B2B and B2C business sectors. He led Bills Khakis to become a five time participant in Inc. Magazine’s Inner City 100 list, recognizing the company as one of the fastest growing inner-city companies in the U.S. While a management consultant at Tweed Weber, Inc., John worked with over fifty small- to mid-sized companies in both manufacturing and service sectors. Dever holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from Albright College.
Dever will be responsible for both day-to-day and strategic leadership of the organization. He will play a key role in managing the organization as it grows by coaching and mentoring team members and promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration. He will also be responsible for interviewing, hiring and training new employees.
Bob Egan, the owner and current president of Egan Sign, will continue with the company as chairman and CEO.
“We are making a significant investment in both technology and people in order to capitalize on our growing customer base, and we believe that John will bring the kind of leadership we need to meet our growth plans,” said Bob Egan. “This is an exciting time for Egan Sign as we grow and evolve the company into the next phase. We are fortunate to have someone of John’s caliber take the leadership of Egan Sign. He has made a career of building business teams and orchestrating development projects around the world, and is a great match for our management team.”
“I couldn’t be happier to be in charge of leading this team as we scale up to the next level,” said Dever, a long-time friend and business associate of Bob Egan. “It’s the best of all worlds when you have a growing market and a solid team. On my first day at Egan Sign, I was impressed by the level of technology in use in every aspect of the business. This is a company that is on the cutting edge.”
